DEGREE WORK MEASUREMENT MODEL OF A HEALTH SYSTEM IN A SMART CITY SUPPORT
On July 27th of 2020, the student Andrea Ceballos Zuluaga of the master’s in information management of “Escuela Colombiana de Ingeniería Julio Garavito” and a member of the project CAP4CITY, presented her graduation project named “Measurement mother for healthcare systems in smart cities”. With the direction of Victoria Eugenia Ospina Becerra and Luis Daniel Benavides, professors of the university and members of the project CAP4CITY.
This project was born in the context of smart cities and the international project CAP4CITY, by the European union, where four universities from Europe and eight universities from Latin America work together to develop courses that will enable the improvement of capacities in the management of Latin American smart cities.
In the project a proposal to measure the smartness of a healthcare system was stablished and validated with the Bogotá case study. The proposal included a new conception of system and smart city, a healthcare model for smart cities, a measurement model for healthcare systems in smart cities and the related maturity model. The project was recognized for its quality and pertinence.
The jury of the project were Elsa Estevez, Adjunct Professor at National University of the South, and Aurora Sánchez, Associate Professor at Universidad del Norte. Both are members of the Project CAP4CITY and well-known international researchers in the field of smart cities. Their participation as jury is an example of the collaboration that the project CAP4CITY enabled among the participant universities.
