About CAP4CITY Project – PT


In an effort to develop government capacities for smart and sustainable cities, the CAP4CITY project was born. A project sponsored by the Erasmus + training program, which is part of the European Union and whose objective is to strengthen the governance 


capacities for smart and sustainable cities. The main objective of CAP4CITY is to contribute to public and social actors in the different cities associated with the project. Governance, urban planning, energy, the use of ICT, mobility, urban planning and the role of citizens are among the research topics.


The CAP4CITY Consortium comprises 12 partner institutions from 8 countries: Austria, Estonia, Netherlands, Poland, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina. The three-year project will be coordinated by Danube Krems University, in Austria.


Erasmus+ is a European Union (EU) program for education, training, youth, and sport started in 2014 with a 2020 horizon.

The program develops actions, cooperation strategies, and consistent instruments at a global level. Among the variety of Erasmus+ initiatives, capacity development is the most complex, for the objects and number of actors. These projects bring together several partners who structurally cooperate in an effort to deliver results jointly.
