CAP4CITY WORKSHOP 2019, BOGOTÁ- MEDELLÍN, COLOMBIA: STRENGTHENING GOVERNANCE CAPACYTY FOS SMART SUSTAINABLE CITIES
The last May 13, 2019, the Externado de Colombia University and the Observatory of Society, Government and Information Technologies received the CAP4CITY project partners in Bogotá, in the first workshop of the project, where the competences and learning methodologies were evaluated and adopted for the Smart Sustainable Cities (SSC) from the postgraduate course New Technologies, Innovation and Management of Cities offered by Externado University in Colombia. The graduates and students of this program were present in this workshop and expressed their opinions and knowledge about smart cities and territories.
In Medellín, Colombia, the fourth most intelligent city in Latin America, according to the study carried out by Smart City Business, the same workshop was held on May 14, together with actors from the Public and Private Sector and in the company of professionals from different disciplines.
As a result of this first workshop, CAP4CITY wishes to provide more tools, content and creation of academic spaces for the construction of knowledge about smart cities, new technologies, innovation and online governance for the community, through the development of a series of MOOCS, to be delivered in the research process of the CAP4CITY project, which leads the European Union, in the company of 12 universities in Latin America and Europe.
