The research <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">focuses<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> not only in describing the initiatives themselves, but also on the organizational structures and roles involved in planning.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Data collection from SSC case studies was made by Latin American partners who were asked to conduct a systematic research in order to fill the instrument provided by the work package leaders. Qualitative analysis was performed for data analysis, allowing categorization of data and comparative analysis.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The research identified 12 SSC related initiatives in Latin America cities. Among them, three cities from Colombia (Bogota, Medellin and Bucaramanga), three from Argentina (Buenos Aires, Vicente Lopez and Rosario), two from <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Brazil (<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Curitiba and S\u00e3o Paulo), two from Chile (Santiago and Antofagasta), one from Uruguay (Montevideo) and one from Panama (Panama City). <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">These cases are presented in detail in this document making it possible to create a starting point for further analysis and work packages.<\/span><span
